Does The Park Offer Educational Programs?
One of the best ways to learn about New Jersey's history and nature is through one of Delaware & Raritan Canal's great education programs. Learn about local forestry, water quality, orienteering, insects and native state animals in fun classes taught by park naturalists. The park also offers a great series of canal history programs that include biking or walking tours.
Where Can I Rent And Launch A Canoe?
One of the best ways to explore Delaware & Raritan Canal State park is by water. It is easy to do with convenient canoe rentals from Griggstown Canoe Rental (908 359-5970) or Princeton Canoe Rental (609 452-2403). You can rent by the hour or full day and take your pick from canoes or one- or two-person kayaks. All rentals are available until one hour before closing, and include paddles & PFDs.
